Our client is a leading Water Treatment Company that is now recruiting for a Business Development Manager in East Anglia.
To profitably sell the company’s full product range to new and selected existing customers, and effectively manage client contracts and relationships to achieve individual and team targets and meet the company’s strategic objectives. Provide guidance and support to colleagues as required.
Must be based in the East Anglia area & have a full UK driving license.
Key Objectives
- Prospect new business and manage the sales pipeline in order to achieve agreed targets and KPIs
- Develop relationships with customers and prospects at senior levels in order to achieve strategic sales goals and customer compliance
- Work effectively with all departments to ensure safe and compliant delivery of all required service streams.
- Manage and maintain the CRM systems as required and provide regular activity and progress reports to line managers.
- Mentor and develop colleagues
- Examples of Industry standards: HSG274 Pt1,2,3, ACoP L8, BSRIA BG29/50, BS2486:1997, BS8552 & HTM04-01
Requirements
- Candidate should have strong working knowledge of L8 Legionella water hygiene in hot & cold water systems.
- Confident completing tenders, generating business development opportunities and self-managing their targets & workload.
- Be familiar with Cooling Towers, Steam Boilers, Closed Systems including sampling / dosing / chemical flushing, Pre Treatment plant and equipment (RO, DI and softeners), Secondary Disinfection (Chlorine Dioxide), chemical control dosing equipment etc.
- Effectively and accurately identify and complete tenders and PQQ applications to company standard, liaising with colleagues appropriately and in a timely manner to ensure prompt and correct submission.
- Prospect and develop new regional and nationally based business to achieve individual targets, effectively and accurately utilising the company’s CRM system.
- Actively sell all servivces to new customers to support the wider sales team with cross-selling and upselling to existing customers.
- Proactively manage the key and national accounts via effective communication with regional sales and delivery teams to ensure tasks are completed as required.
- Conduct regular review meetings ensuring all services are delivered accurately and in a timely manner and that records are accurate and comprehensive.
- Prepare and provide quotations, in accordance with industry and company standards, and utilising the CRM system
