Our client is seeking an experienced Solar PV & Heat Pump Electrician to join their installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing solar PV systems across various residential and commercial properties. Key Responsibilities:
- Install solar PV systems according to design specifications and UK regulations, including MCS standards.
- Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation, and panel mounting for solar arrays.
- Connect solar panels to inverters and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of solar PV systems to verify performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to solar PV installations.
- Provide training and support to customers on the operation and maintenance of solar PV systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installation activities and documentation for compliance.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Solar PV Electrician or similar role in the UK solar industry.
- Recognized electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2391) or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of UK electrical regulations (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations) and MCS standards for solar PV installations.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation and maintenance tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
