Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer – County Durham
We’re currently working with a leading Geotechnical & Environmental Ground Investigation specialist who are looking to recruit a Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their County Durham office.
The role is accountable for the delivery of ground investigation services and interpretative report writing. The role includes technical, operation, health and safety and financial project management, participating in business development plus on-site geotechnical and geo-environmental advice and client meetings.
Responsibilities to include:
- Design, coordination and execution of ground investigations
- Contract management including delivery of projects on time and to maximise profits
- Monitoring costs in relation to all contract works
- Prepare and deliver interpretative reports
- Compliance of all H&S requirements
- Client liaison
- Organising contracts
- Training junior engineers
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in the Geo-Environmental/Geotechnical sector
- Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartered Status
- BSc in Geology, Earth Sciences or similar subject
- MSc is desirable but not essential
- Experience in the design, co-ordination and execution of ground investigations
- Excellent communication and client liaison skills
- Experience managing a team of engineers including graduate mentoring
- Business development experience
- Full UK driving licence
