Our client is a leading Water Treatment Company that is now recruiting for a Remedial Plumbing Engineer to work in London. The ideal candidate will be based in the London area and will travel around London and surrounding areas, including the home counties.
As an experienced Remedial Engineer, you will be expected to provide expertise and manage optimum service delivery to maintain total customer satisfaction with the services provided. You will be supporting the key functions of the business by providing engineering services as and when required and complete all tasks identified as the responsibility of the Water remedials Engineer to the total satisfaction of the client
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with current Water regulations.
- Complete the following tasks:
- Calorifier Acid descales
- Calorifier replacement
- POU replacements
- Chemical dosing of closed systems
- Risk assessment remedial actions
- Plumbing tasks, Deadleg removal/flexible hose removal etc.
- Cold water storage tank remedial works
- Cold water storage tank replacements
- Cold water storage tank Cleaning and chlorination works
- Dosing Pot and Filtration unit service and installation
- TMV service and replacement
- Internal calorifier inspection
- Endoscopic inspection
- Injection pipework chlorination works
- Chemical dosing installs and commissioning
- Service, install and commissioning odd specialist one off systems
- Some water hygiene monitoring and sampling
- Maintain and promote Health and Safety standards within the team, to sub-contractors, and to clients to company standards and procedures.
- Make sure works are being carried out correctly and in a safe manner
- To ensure all work is completed in compliance with current legislation and always documented.
Requirements
- Full driving license
- Previous experience as a Water Remedials Engineer
- Level 2 plumbing qualification
- You will need experience of ACoP L8 (Legionnaires) and water safety standards
- You will work with guidance provided by HSG 274, water systems and monitoring sampling, including associated company documents and guidance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Up to £42,000 per annum dependent upon experience, plus overtime and company vehicle
- Hours: Monday to Friday 8am -5pm, with flexibility required
