Our client is an established Environmental Consultancy that is recruiting a Principal Ecologist for their Hampshire Office. You will be responsible for managing a variety of multidisciplinary projects, closely collaborating with and adding value for several of our esteemed, long-term clients.
Duties & Experience Required:
- Managing complicated client sites, huge developments, multi-species mitigation projects, and protected species mitigation
- Experience in survey design and delivery
- Licence management, and protected species mitigation.
- knowledgeable about species mitigation, in possession of a licence to mitigate for at least one protected species, and having successfully completed mitigation projects for a number of additional species
- A GCN survey licence holder with authoritative experience in at least one species, preferably bat and/or bird
- knowledgeable and skilled in fostering the growth of others by offering continual support
- Proficient in creating reports and doing quality assurance on other people's reports; skilled in managing private and delicate data
- Extremely knowledgeable with Microsoft Office products
- Degree in an ecological or environmental subjects
- Membership in an appropriate professional organisation such as the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management
Remuneration
- Basic Salary £45K - £55K
