Duties Include:
- You’ll offer and provide technical fire safety advice and practical solutions to clients within the construction industry, identifying fire safety risks and reporting accordingly
- Attend client meetings in person to provide fire safety advice, legislatively and practically
- Conduct fire risk assessments in compliance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 within our construction client portfolio
- Provide descriptive, concise reports, highlighting remedial action to be taken
Experience required for the role:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in undertaking fire risk assessments on construction sites (inhouse training will be provided if required pertaining to the construction element) and ideally a level 4 or above Fire Risk Assessment through the Institution of Fire Engineers or the Fire Protection Association or the Institute of Fire Managers
- Knowledge and ability to write detailed technical reports
- Up to date knowledge of current fire safety regulations, legislation, technical standards and best practice
- If you have BAFE validator experience this would be desirable, along with IFA/IFSM membership and third-party accreditation with the Institution of Fire Engineers register or committed to joining
