Our client is a well-established company who are a leading global speciality chemical supplier to the Food & industrial Water sector. Due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Field Service Technician to join their team in or around the Bristol area
As an Engineering Field Service Technician, you will be managing daily service activity workload at multiple sites which will require strong time management skills and disciplined work behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing equipment service, troubleshooting, repair, calibration and installation of Food & Beverage and industrial water treatment equipment on our customers sites.
- Maintain contact with customer on site, communicating effectively, politely, and responding to their needs, to maintain good customer relationships
- Maintain and safeguard company assets, including plant, fleet, equipment and tools.
- Maintaining a productive relationship with the Sales teams.
The ideal candidate will need strong communication skills and interpersonal skills. You will need to be highly organised with the ability to work under own initiative. You will be computer literate, be willing to travel between customer sites and live within a commutable distance of south/south west.
Key skills
- Time served apprenticeship/ONC/higher Grade in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; ideally in Food & Beverage/Water Treatment or equivalent.
- Preferably two years of experience in a similar position in industrial maintenance.
- Proven problem solving and troubleshooting ability in engineering
- Automation and Project Management skills an advantage.
- Clean Driving license
