Our client is a dynamic and growing company in the arboriculture, ecological, and landscape development sectors, looking to recruit an experienced Ecologist based in Staffordshire.
Principal Duties:
- Conduct a wide range of ecological surveys throughout the UK, including protected species surveys, bat surveys, and biodiversity net gain matrix calculations.
- Provide services such as arboricultural surveys, soil and leaf testing, and UK Habitat Mapping and Classification.
- Deliver high-quality ecological reports and surveys, ensuring the best possible service to clients.
- Travel regularly for fieldwork, primarily from the base in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
- Collaborate with the team to meet project goals and client expectations.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Ecology or a related field, or relevant previous experience.
- Experience with protected species surveys, including bats.
- Knowledge of biodiversity net gain and other core ecological surveys.
- A Class 1 Bat License and an EPS Great Crested Newt Licence are advantageous.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Full, clean driving license required.
Package:
- Salary: £30,000 - £40,000, based on experience.
