My client is a specialist environmental and ecological consultancy. They are committed to providing the best environmental services to their clients, ensuring that all works protect and enhance the environment. Known for being professional, agile, and supportive, my client is looking to recruit an Ecologist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress their career in environmental consultancy, offering opportunities to work on diverse projects both in the field and in the office.

Main Duties:

  • Field Work: Conduct ecological surveys, including dusk and pre-dawn surveys, across various sites, ensuring accurate and high-quality data collection.
  • Office Work: Assist with office-based tasks, including data analysis, report writing, and supporting senior team members.
  • Client Representation: Work independently on-site, representing my client in a professional manner, even when not under direct supervision.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a friendly and supportive team, contributing to the growth and success of the company.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to varying work schedules, including day shifts, night shifts, and potential overnight stays, as required by project demands.

Experience Required:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Ecology or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: At least 2 years of experience in ecological consultancy.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license with access to a car, and willingness to travel to multiple sites.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in IT, particularly with Office 365 and cloud-based systems.
  • CSCS Card: Hold or be willing to obtain a CSCS card qualification.
  • Professional Membership: Membership of CIEEM or an equivalent professional body.
  • Personal Attributes: Positive attitude, team player, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Package:

  • Annual Salary: £23,000 to £30,000 per year, depending on experience.
