Graduate / Building Surveyor with a couple of years of practical working experience based in London.

You will be joining a small team working closely with the Directors so offers an excellent learning opportunity.

Requirements for you
- Essential to have surveying/ construction related degree or HND and on your APC on the way to Chartered status e.g.MRICS.
- A working knowledge of structural defects affecting buildings and appropriate remedial measures.
- Knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration.
- Ability and experience to recognise and diagnose causes of defects and consequential damage to buildings and structures
- An understanding and knowledge of current repair techniques and products.
- Ability to carry out and advise on a wide range of Building Surveying services including, but not limited to, Planned Preventative Maintenance reports, Schedule of Conditions, preparation of Specifications, and report writing.
- Knowledge of CDM and Party wall legislation
- Ability to be decisive in resolving matters, an appreciation of the importance of delivering outstanding customer service, coupled with excellent communication skills
- A sound working knowledge of IT and most Microsoft packages, including scheduling.
- The ability to work in a office, on site as well as manage and plan your own workload whilst delivering professional services
- Experience of working to tight timescales and meeting client specific SLA’s
- A Business Development and Client Care awareness.
- The requirement to travel and visit site is essential.
- A full UK Driving License.
The ideal candidate will have a professional and can-do attitude, be self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive and be able to prioritise and multi-task. You will have excellent organisational abilities to be able to balance different tasks ensuring deadlines are met whilst maintaining highest levels of accuracy. You will also be required to be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure and importantly be passionate about Building Surveying
